Tracy Carmichael - Family Support Practitioner
Having worked for Social Services People Directorate with a Local Authority for 20 years I thought it was time for a new adventure. I am honoured to have been given this opportunity of being a member of the Safe Base Fostering Team working as the Family Support Practitioner. I have worked as a Family Support Worker for the last 3 years in a Children in Care Team working with children from the age of 3 to 16 years . I enjoyed positive relationships with the young people and their carers and I am excited to build new relationships with the Foster Carers and their foster children joining us at Safe Base Fostering.
The favourite part of my role as Family Support Worker was supporting, encouraging and establishing positive relationships with all Young People.
I am Mum to 2 adult children, a ginger tom cat called Leo and a huge dog called Stanley. More recently I was given the best gift ever my first grandchild and will be known to him as Nanny T. Stanley the dog doesn’t like rain and refuses to go on rainy days and its hard to argue with an 11 stone dog. I enjoy socialising with friends and family. I particularly enjoy testing the dance floor when out. My favourite time of year is Christmas though dislike mince pies, Christmas cake and christmas pudding that is traditional to this time of year. I love the excitement Christmas brings to children and go to the Christmas Pantomime at Bradford Alhambra without fail
I can’t wait to take up my post as Family Support Practitioner with Safe Base Fostering.
