As the team manager I supervise and manage a staff team of 2 social worker’s and 2 family support workers. Within this role I provide support, advice and complete supervision with them. I enjoy that the staff I supervise are happy within their role and offering the best support to the children and foster carers in which they support.

I contribute to the on-call service being the manager on call for the team. I contribute to ensuring the safeguarding of the children is a paramount consideration along with the rest of the team.

I have oversight of the work completed within the team is completed to a high standard and recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

I enjoy going to the theatre, having spa breaks and going on vacations to other countries. I love spending time with my friends and family and exploring new places and having adventures and new experiences with my two young children.

I have been a qualified social worker since 2012 where I gained a BA honours degree.  I started my career working in looked after children and child protection teams. Within these roles I also gained the experience of working alongside birth and looked after children foster carer’s, which is one of the reasons, I wanted to then progress into a fostering role. I also have experience of working within children’s residential settings and as a qualified youth worker.
